A staple in Meadowhall since the centre opened in 1990, The Music Box sells a wide range of printed sheet music, accessories, music-themed gifts and instruments, including guitars, ukuleles, woodwind, brass, harmonicas and percussion.
Whether you are a professional or just beginning to learn, come and talk to our knowledgeable staff who are always on hand to offer advice and answer any music queries. We carry a varied selection of printed sheet music for most instruments, including play-along books with backing CDs, and also vocal audition books which come complete with a CD of professional-quality backing tracks. We also sell a full range of tutorial material, including ABRSM examination material along with the more modern Rockschool series for Drums, Bass, Guitar, and Vocal students.
REPAIR SERVICES
We offer a full in-store guitar repair service for everything from a simple re-string and tuning to more complex re-wiring, fitting of parts, and other adjustments. Our technicians work every day so there is always someone on hand to tend to your guitar in our secure repair area.
MUSIC LESSONS
We teach regular Ukulele lessons in-store on Monday and Wednesday evenings (|times differ during school holidays, call for details). For just £10 you can enjoy a thirty minute lesson with one of our experienced teachers. All tutorial material is provided and your Uke will be tuned before and after class. We also offer guitar lessons on Monday evenings. Give Rachael a call on the store number for further details.
PRINTED SHEET MUSIC IN-STORE
A new service for 2012 allows our staff to print sheet music while you wait in store. An ever-growing database of over 45,000 songs mean that we probably have exactly what you're looking for and can print it for you to take home in a matter of minutes in the key you require.
