The beach is back at Meadowhall this summer as well as our very own Beach Club bus, home to our fun-filled Kid's Club.

Hop on board for exciting workshops and activities from retailers too, as well as a super-sized slide, it'll be easy to keep the kids busy this holiday.

With live appearances from special guests, lots of singing and dancing, it promises to be a sensational summer - whatever the weather.

Beach Games

What's a beach without lots of fun beach games? Whether you're limbering up for limbo dancing or trying not to topple in giant Jenga, we have games for all ages.

Come and feel the sand between your toes and enjoy a sensational summer at Meadowhall.

 

Seaside Bracelets

Create a summer keepsake with a seaside bracelet. With a selection of shells and beach-themed charms to choose from, the possibilities are endless.

This is a drop-in activity taking place between 11am - 4pm on a first come first serve basis.

 

Custom Caps

6 August

Get creative with fabric pens, beads and pompoms, and turn a plain white cap into your own unique design. From crazy colours to dynamic doodles, your cap will be perfect beachwear.

Sand Art

13 August - 14 August

27 August - 28 August

Using coloured sand, stencils and your imagination, create a textured masterpiece that will look great on your wall. A super souvenir of your magical day at Meadowhall.

Krispy Kreme

17 August and 19 August

Join Krispy Kreme for fun-packed afternoons of hula-hooping competitions, balloon modelling, doughnut decorating and beach games. You'll also have the chance to meet Mr OG, he's so sweet.

Doughnut decorating will be charged at £1 per person. All proceeds will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.

This is a drop-in activity taking place between 1pm - 4pm on a first come first serve basis.

 

Draw with Disney

28 July - 29 July

5 August, 10 August and 24 August

Learn how to draw Mickey Mouse or Nemo. Younger artists can join in the fun with a variety of Disney-themed colouring sheets. Everyone will receive a free frame to display their masterpiece in at home.

This session will last for approximately 30 minutes. Suitable for ages 3 - 10 years.

Decorate delicious cookies with Millie's Cookies. With lots of different flavours and frostings, plus colours to choose from. Create a sweet treat good enough to eat.

Busy Bears with Build-A-Bear

If you go down to the beach today, you’re sure of a big surprise! Suitable for all ages, join Build-A-Bear Workshop to celeBEARate summer. From dressing up the bears, playing hide-and-seek to colouring activities, there’ll be lots of fun in the sun with the furry friends.

Mermaid Parties

Journey under the sea with our Meadowhall Mermaids from GP Princess Appearances. Enjoy a mini mermaid makeover consisting of glitter hair & mermaid face paint ready for your mermaid shelfie! It’s going to be MERMAZING!

Magna Slime Masterclass

Poke it. Squish it. Stretch it. Whatever you do with slime it's always FUN! Magna’s Head Scientists will share their Top Secret recipes for making the most awesome slimiest slime. The interactive hands-on sessions promise to be the ultimate Summer Goo-Fest.

It's a Takeover

Not only do we have all those amazing fun-filled activities but we also have some fantastic 'takeover' days during August.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance - 1 August 11am - 4pm

Hallam FM - 11 and 12 August 11am - 4pm

Heart FM - 18 August 11am - 2pm

With face painting, games, competitions, colouring activities, music and lots more. Again, no need to book and all activities are free.

This is a drop-in activity taking place between 11am - 4pm.

    There are cycle routes from both Sheffield and Rotherham. When you do arrive, cycle stands and lockers can be used for peace on mind.

    -We have dedicated cycle paths linking the Centre to both Sheffield and Rotherham as well as Transpennine routes 6, 62 and Five Weirs Walk.
    -Cycle stands and cycle lockers are located adjacent to the cycle path near the Oasis Dining Quarter entrance and children’s outdoor play area.
    -Further  cycle stands are located at the lower High Street entrance of Orange Zone 1 car park (near the Argos store) and in the Passenger Transport Interchange adjacent to the bus parking bays.

We have 7 cash machine points located throughout the Centre.

For the little ones, we have various bottle warming facilities around the centre. Find them at House of Fraser, Debenhams, Next, Pizza Express, The Oasis Dining Quarter and more. Check the mall guide in-centre for a full list of where you can find our bottle warming facilities.

Meadowhall has over 12,000 free car parking spaces. There are 350 disabled spaces available. Please head to the Pink Car Park for the disabled spaces closest to Shopmobility.

Motorcycle parking in lower red, lower pink and yellow car parks, as well as orange zone 4 car park.

We also offer 207 parent and child spaces which can be found across Meadowhall car parks except zones 3 and 4.

Please note our car parks are monitored to ensure instructions are followed for disabled and parent and child spaces. Failure to comply with parking terms conditions may result in a Parking Charge Notice.

Car Park height restrictions are 2.1 mtrs or 6’10” across all car parks with the exception of the Orange Zone Car Parks.  There is no height restriction on the Orange Zone Car Parks.

Charge your car at our free electric car charging points. Only located in the Orange Zone Car Park 2 (near to the Next Entrance).

Monster Play Outdoor Play Area

Venture outdoors where the little ones can explore cargo nets, walk the plank or try a bit of calming music on a giant xylophone.

Mini & Me Play Area

Located in The Lanes, under 5's can play at their leisure at our indoor soft play area.

Our free entry Mini & Me soft play area is located at The Lanes, next to The Oasis Dining Quarter. The play area is for ages 5 years and below with parental supervision (required).

  • Saturday: 9am to 7.45pm 
  • Sundays: 10am to 4.45pm

​Children will be required to remove their shoes when using the play area.

Accessibility

A height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, a hoist system, space for the disabled person and up to two carers, a privacy curtain and a non-slip floor. Situated just off the lower Oasis Dining Quarter.

Available at The Atrium Customer Services Desk (Pushchairs suitable for children aged 12 months up to 3 years - 2 forms of I.D are required to hire, 1 with full address details).

Don't struggle around, we offer accompanied shopping or we have a number of wheelchairs and self drive scooters you can borrow. Just make sure you bring along 2 pieces of ID, one with your home address on. You'll need to call us beforehand to book your scooter as we want to make sure we have one available when you need it. We have 350 disabled parking spaces, head to Pink car park for those nearest the Shopmobility Desk outside Marks and Spencer. Please note Shopmobility is relocating to Lower High Street, adjacent to Argos, from 10 August. We're proud to be working in conjunction with Parkgate Mobility.
