Meadowhall – The Official Presenting Partner for the Bears of Sheffield Trail

Meadowhall is a long-standing supporter of Sheffield Children’s Hospital, most recently selling charitable face coverings in support of the charity as well as raising donations through its in-centre Giving Box, and now we are proud to announce our sponsorship of the Bears of Sheffield.

Bears of Sheffield is a trail of 60 big bears and 100 little bears dotted around the city for the summer to help raise money for a new Cancer and Leukaemia Ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital through donations, merchandise and sponsorship.

Meadowhall is a sponsor of the city-wide initiative and will also be hosting the ‘farewell’ event for all of the Bears in October, where all 160 will be on display before they are auctioned off to the highest bidder to raise more money for the Children’s Hospital.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “The Bears of Sheffield is a fantastic initiative which brings the city together for a great cause, and the funds raised will make such a difference to the hospital and its patients. The bears we have here at Meadowhall are scattered across the centre, so keep your eyes peeled next time you visit.”

Meadowhall has sponsored two large bears on the trail as well as housing four large bears and 3 of the smaller school bears.

The trail is now live, so if you go down to Meadowhall today, you’re sure of a big surprise!
