As we all know, 2020 is all about adapting to unprecedented circumstances and Organ Donation Week is no exception.
Of course, this year has been a huge year for organ donation, with an opt-out system now in place in England and the new law is already saving and transforming lives, but we need to continue to make people aware of the change, to help more people save more lives.
This Organ Donation Week we want to highlight that everyone still has a choice if they want to be an organ donor or not. We want to encourage people to find out about how the law change affects them, take the time to make your organ donation decision and most importantly share your decision with those closest to you.
That's why here at Meadowhall our iconic dome lights will be shining bright pink to raise awareness of #OrganDonationWeek. You can see them from Monday 7 September to Sunday 13 September. We encourage you to take photo's and share them using the Organ Donation Week hashtag to raise further awareness.
