Wish Upon A Star with Santa Tickets include:

  • A journey through the Wish Upon a Star with Santa experience

  • Please note that the mimimum ticket order to gain entry to the event needs to be 1 adult and 1 child

 

Ticket prices

  • Child Ticket - £6 (+60p per ticket booking fee) - max 3 child tickets per booking
  • Adult Ticket - £3 (+60p per ticket booking fee)
  • Additional Adult - £3 (+60p per ticket booking fee) – max 1 additional adult per booking

  • Party bookings larger than the permitted: 2 adults/3 children max booking allowance, should you wish to bring a large party please contact the Bakehouse enquiry line on 07598 357034 or email tickets@bakehousefactory.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
  • If you are bringing a baby on its own to enjoy the full experience including the craft, Santa visit with gift and photo - you will be required to purchase a child ticket.
  • Babes in arms accompanying other paying children will be free of charge, but please note they will not be eligible to receive the Santa gift
  • Carer tickets can be purchased alongside either an adult or child ticket. A carers ticket is free with proof of DLA (Disability Living Allowance) on the door. There are limited spots available for carers, please contact us if you have queries


FAQs

  • WHAT DATE DOES WISH UPON A STAR WITH SANTA OPEN? Santa arrives on the 21st November, booking is open early October.
  • HOW LONG IS THE EXPERIENCE OPEN FOR? The experience closes at 4 pm on Christmas Eve – 24th December.
  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Child - £6.00 booked online (+60p booking fee per ticket) – this price includes a 40 - minute immersive theatrical experience, a craft activity and a gift from Santa. Adult - £3.00 booked online (+60p booking fee per ticket)
  • WHO CAN I CONTACT WITH TICKETING ENQUIRIES? Call Bakehouse Tickets on 07598 357034 (standard rates apply, contact your operator for more information) or email tickets@bakehousefactory.co.uk - Please note opening hours for the hotline are Monday – Friday 10 am – 2 pm.
  • DO I NEED A TICKET FOR A BABY? If you are bringing a baby on its own or would like your baby to receive the full grotto experience including the photo gift then you will need to purchase a £6 ticket. If you have a babe in arms who is accompanying other paying children and you do not expect a gift for them, then they are FOC.
  • WHAT WILL MY VISIT CONSIST OF? Your ticket includes a journey through Wish Upon a Star with Santa Experience, a gift, 1-on-1 visit with Santa Claus and a take-home starcraft. Your professional family photograph with Santa will be applied to a choice of high-quality gift items to purchase. Photographs are not included in the ticket price.
  • HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS? Every session lasts approximately 30-40 minutes with each session starting promptly. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check into your session, especially during busy periods when the traffic and car park can be extremely busy.
  • DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE? Yes, due to demand, booking this year is only online so you must pre-book in advance.
  • CAN I BOOK IN CENTRE OR WALK UP AND PAY ON THE DAY?No. There will be no walk-up slots available and staff will not be able to take cash bookings from the experience.
  • HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I BUY? The minimum ticket requirement is one child and adult, you will need to have bought at least one of these tickets to gain entry to the experience. Maximum of 3 children tickets, 1 adult ticket and 1 additional adult ticket can be purchased per booking. Any party booking larger than the permitted 2 adults / 3 children then please contact Bakehouse Booking on 07598 357 034 or email tickets@bakehousefactory.co.uk. The group size is based on the capacity of the grotto experience with Santa.
  • HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY TICKETS? They will be emailed to the email address you used to book your tickets.
  • DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET(S)? No, you can download it and we can scan it from your smartphone. You can print your ticket on your home printer and bring it with you if you do not have a smartphone.
  • I FORGOT TO BUY A TICKET FOR A MEMBER OF MY PARTY, CAN THEY BE SQUEEZED IN ON THE DAY? Please check online prior to your arrival to see if there are restrictions on tickets available for your session. If not, unfortunately, due to health and safety, we have to restrict the number of customers that enter the experience at any one time, therefore, we cannot admit additional customers.
  • IS THERE CAR PARKING AT THE GROTTO? There are 12,000 free parking spaces at Meadowhall. The Orange Zone Car Park nearest the Oasis Dining Quarter is nearest to the Experience.   • HOW TO GET TO MEADOWHALL – NEAREST PUBLIC TRANSPORT The centre is easy to reach thanks to Meadowhall Passenger Transport Interchange (PTI). The centre has great links via Bus, Train and Tram. Click Here for further information

  • WHAT GIFT/S ARE PROVIDED? Each child will receive the gift of a Christmas book featuring some well-known and much-loved characters.
  • IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN LEAVE MY BAGS & BUGGY? There are no lockers at the experience, therefore, we suggest you only bring items with you that you are happy to carry. We do have a buggy park where you can leave any prams; unfortunately, we do not allow prams inside the experience. Please note that the buggy park is unmanned. Meadowhall accepts no responsibility for personal belongings.
  • WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY? Tickets: Tickets are non-refundable. If you are late for your allocated time or cannot make your session for any reason, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or alternative session. If we find it necessary to close the experience for any reason we will offer you a full refund or the option to book an alternative session (subject to availability). GIFTS AND PHOTOS If your gift is broken or damaged please let us know within 48 hours and we will provide a replacement gift. Please check all photo products before you leave the experience to check you are happy with the layout. Photos and merchandise must be paid for on the day of the event, photos will not be kept on file and will be deleted after 48 hours. Refunds will only be available for faulty goods.
  • CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKED SESSION TIME? Unfortunately, we cannot change session times and cannot provide refunds for sessions missed.
  • IS THE EXPERIENCE WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY? Yes, the experience is wheelchair friendly, we do ask that you call us on 07598 357034 at least 48 hours prior to your visit to let us know if you have any specific requirements. One complimentary ticket for a carer accompanying a customer with additional needs may be booked per session.
  • IS THE EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR BABIES? Yes, the experience is suitable for all ages with plenty of visual elements and wonderful performers who will engage with each and every child. Babes in arms will need to be carried through the 40-minute theatrical experience before going in to meet Santa, there is no fast track through to the Grottos.
  • CAN I BOOK ADDITIONAL NEEDS GROUPS AND SCHOOL PARTY VISITS? Our experience is suitable for customers with additional needs. If you have specific requirements or to discuss any concerns please contact us on 07598 357034 or email the ticket line tickets@bakehousefactory.co.uk. Quiet sessions are available on a Tuesday morning 10 am – 11 am and we reduce the capacity at this time. Please contact us if you have any specific requirements.
  • CAN WE BRING FOOD AND DRINK INTO THE EXPERIENCE? No. We would ask that you refrain from eating and drinking inside experience, please.
  • CAN WE TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS? Photos can be taken within the main experience zones. Photography is prohibited within the Santa’s room but don’t worry the magical moment will be captured with professional photography and a memento will be available to purchase from the merchandise desk at the end.
  • WHERE WILL I FIND THE ‘WISH UPON A STAR WITH SANTA EXPERIENCE'? The experience is situated outside at the entrance to the Oasis Dining Quarter.
  • ARE THERE BABY CHANGE FACILITIES? Meadowhall provides baby change facilities. Please see the Centre Mall Guide for the details on the toilet locations and other facilities.
  • WILL MY CHILD HAVE A ONE TO ONE VISIT OR A GROUP VISIT? Each child/family will have a personal one to one visit with Santa.

    Leave Sheffield City Centre along the A61, leading onto the A6109 (M1 North) Brightside Lane. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles. Go straight on at the roundabout with Forgemasters on your right, then turn right at the 4th set of traffic lights.

  • Bike

    There are cycle routes from both Sheffield and Rotherham. When you do arrive, cycle stands and lockers can be used for peace on mind.

    -We have dedicated cycle paths linking the Centre to both Sheffield and Rotherham as well as Transpennine routes 6, 62 and Five Weirs Walk.
    -Cycle stands and cycle lockers are located adjacent to the cycle path near the Oasis Dining Quarter entrance and children’s outdoor play area.
    -Further  cycle stands are located at the lower High Street entrance of Orange Zone 1 car park (near the Argos store) and in the Passenger Transport Interchange adjacent to the bus parking bays.

We have 7 cash machine points located throughout the Centre.

For the little ones, we have various bottle warming facilities around the centre. Find them at House of Fraser, Debenhams, Next, Pizza Express, The Oasis Dining Quarter and more. Check the mall guide in-centre for a full list of where you can find our bottle warming facilities.

Meadowhall has over 12,000 free car parking spaces. There are 350 disabled spaces available. Please head to Orange Zone 1 for the disabled spaces closest to Shopmobility.

Motorcycle parking in lower red, lower pink and yellow car parks, as well as orange zone 4 car park.

We also offer over 200 parent and child spaces which can be found across Meadowhall car parks except zones 3 and 4.

Please note our car parks are monitored to ensure instructions are followed for disabled and parent and child spaces. Failure to comply with parking terms conditions may result in a Parking Charge Notice.

Car Park height restrictions are 2.1 mtrs or 6’10” across all car parks with the exception of the Orange Zone Car Parks.  There is no height restriction on the Orange Zone Car Parks.

Charge your car at our free electric car charging points. Only located in the Orange Zone Car Park 2 (near to the Next Entrance).

Monster Play Outdoor Play Area

Venture outdoors where the little ones can explore cargo nets, walk the plank or try a bit of calming music on a giant xylophone.

PLEASE NOTE: The play area will be closed from 29 April for renovations re-opening this summer 2019.

Mini & Me Play Area

Located in The Lanes, ages 3 and under can play at their leisure at our indoor soft play area.

Available within the Management Suite for members of the public. Please contact Careline on 0333 313 2000 for the Quiet Room opening times and terms and conditions of use.

Regus Express Business Lounge is bookable by the hour for any meetings you have arranged, or if you simply require a few hours at a desk. Call 0870 880 8484 for more information.

 

Our free entry Mini & Me soft play area is located at The Lanes, next to The Oasis Dining Quarter. The play area is for ages 3 years and below with parental supervision (required). 

Open from: 

  • Mon -Fri: 9am to 8.45pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 7.45pm 
  • Sundays: 10am to 4.45pm

​Children will be required to remove their shoes when using the play area.

Accessibility

A height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, a hoist system, space for the disabled person and up to two carers, a privacy curtain and a non-slip floor. Situated just off the lower Oasis Dining Quarter.

Available at The Shop Mobility Customer Services Desk at the Argos Entrance (Pushchairs suitable for children aged 1-2 years - 2 forms of I.D are required to hire, 1 with full address details).

Don't struggle around, we offer accompanied shopping or we have a number of wheelchairs and self drive scooters you can borrow. Just make sure you bring along 2 pieces of ID, one with your home address on. You'll need to call us beforehand to book your scooter as we want to make sure we have one available when you need it. We have 350 disabled parking spaces, head to Orange car park for those nearest the Shopmobility Desk outside Argos.
