Huge New Zara store to open at Meadowhall

Work is in full swing for the new and improved Zara store due to open at Meadowhall on 30th May.

The popular fashion brand is relocating from its current position at Meadowhall to take a 35,000 square foot store in The Avenue – the newly renamed area of the centre that is undergoing a transformation to offer a more elevated shopping experience.

Zara’s upgraded store will boast an expanded range across womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, and will include the latest technological innovations from Zara’s integrated online and physical store platform to offer shoppers a more seamless shopping experience.

The current Zara on the Upper High Street will continue trading until the new store opens its doors.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said:

“The new Zara opening will be one of the biggest moments for us this year, and it’s fantastic to see the transformation is well underway. There’s a lot of hard work that goes into developing a store of this scale, and it’s certainly not an overnight job – but, with small changes every day, it’s an exciting reminder for us of what’s to come.”

Last year, Meadowhall revealed its ambitions for The Avenue, which includes welcoming a wealth of new brands, with a Frasers concept store and flagship Sports Direct already in the pipeline alongside the expanded Zara.

The new openings will add to Meadowhall’s existing line up of popular fashion brands already on The Avenue, including Flannels, Sweaty Betty, Kurt Geiger and Carvela.
