What are the opening hours at Meadowhall?

The Mall is open from 10.00am - 9.00pm, Monday to Friday*. On Saturdays, we are open from 9.00am - 8.00pm and on Sundays from 11.00am - 5.00pm. Oasis Dining Quarter is open from 9.00am - 10.00pm, Monday to Saturday**.

**You'll find some bars and licensed restaurants stay open beyond these times throughout the week and trade until 11pm on Saturdays and 10.30pm on Sundays. Please check with individual restaurants for full details.

When is the car park open and how many spaces do you have? Are there disabled spaces?

Our car park is open to customers every day of the week, so you don't have to worry about parking whether you're visiting us for a shopping trip, eating out or visiting the cinema. We have 12,000 parking spaces - all of which are absolutely FREE.

Over recent months Meadowhall has increased numbers of armed police, security staff and precautionary safety measures to protect the safety of our visitors and our team.

We are proud to be one the longest running security teams in any UK shopping centre, and to have been recognized across the industry for our work.  As a team, we are trained to the highest level to ensure the safety of all, working closely with a range of partners including the police and other emergency services. 

South Yorkshire Police have an on-site police station at the centre, working alongside our security team. Meadowhall is part of South Yorkshire Police’s Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS), which is a voluntary scheme under the Police Reform Act 2002, enabling the South Yorkshire Police Chief Constable to offer suitable employers and their employees within the county an accredited status in respect of them carrying out certain community safety functions. Meadowhall is accredited to CSAS contributing to maintaining and improving community safety.

What are the nearest transport links?

Meadowhall is easy to access by car, and we're easy to reach thanks to the Meadowhall Passenger Transport Interchange (PTI). The PTI has facilities for local and regional bus, train and Supertram services that run throughout the day.

Can I hire mobility equipment at Meadowhall?

We have a number of wheelchairs and self-drive scooters you can borrow. Just make sure you bring along 2 pieces of ID, one which includes your home address.

Within the toilets off the lower Oasis Dining Quarter, there is a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, a hoist system, space for the disabled person and up to two carers, a privacy curtain and a non-slip floor.

What facilities are there for families with children?

We have various bottle warming facilities around the centre at House of Fraser, Debenhams, Next, Pizza Express and more.

Pushchair hire is available at The Atrium Customer Services Desk (Pushchairs suitable for children aged 6 months up to 3 years - 2 forms of I.D are required, 1 with full address details).

    Leave Sheffield City Centre along the A61, leading onto the A6109 (M1 North) Brightside Lane. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles. Go straight on at the roundabout with Forgemasters on your right, then turn right at the 4th set of traffic lights.

  • Bike

    There are cycle routes from both Sheffield and Rotherham. When you do arrive, cycle stands and lockers can be used for peace on mind.

    -We have dedicated cycle paths linking the Centre to both Sheffield and Rotherham as well as Transpennine routes 6, 62 and Five Weirs Walk.
    -Cycle stands and cycle lockers are located adjacent to the cycle path near the Oasis Dining Quarter entrance and children’s outdoor play area.
    -Further  cycle stands are located at the lower High Street entrance of Orange Zone 1 car park (near the Argos store) and in the Passenger Transport Interchange adjacent to the bus parking bays.

We have 7 cash machine points located throughout the Centre.

Meadowhall has over 12,000 free car parking spaces. There are 350 disabled spaces available. Please head to the Pink Car Park for the disabled spaces closest to Shopmobility.

Motorcycle parking in lower red, lower pink and yellow car parks, as well as orange zone 4 car park.

We also offer 207 parent and child spaces which can be found across Meadowhall car parks except zones 3 and 4.

Please note our car parks are monitored to ensure instructions are followed for disabled and parent and child spaces. Failure to comply with parking terms conditions may result in a Parking Charge Notice.

Car Park height restrictions are 2.1 mtrs or 6’10” across all car parks with the exception of the Orange Zone Car Parks.  There is no height restriction on the Orange Zone Car Parks.

Charge your car at our free electric car charging points. Only located in the Orange Zone Car Park 2 (near to the Next Entrance).

 

Venture outdoors where the little ones can explore cargo nets, walk the plank or try a bit of calming music on a giant xylophone.

Please note the Monster Play Area will be closed on Monday 18th September until Thursday 21st September 2016. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Our free entry under water themed, soft play structure is located at the lower High Street entrance next to Argos. The play area is for ages 3 years and below with parental supervision (required). 

Open from: 

  • Mon -Fri: 9am to 8.45pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 7.45pm 
  • Sundays: 10am to 4.45pm

​Children will be required to remove their shoes when using the play area. 

Please note this soft play area is here on a trial basis and is not a permanent facility within Meadowhall.
